We need water!

As I’m sure you can imagine, our kids drink a lot of water! We have completely exhausted our supply of bottled water and are in need of donations. If you are able, please donate a case (or several cases) of water to the band. You can drop it off at the band room during or after a practice or game. Thank you in advance!

11:00am Watch other bands perform in our designated seating area and eat at the concession stand.

4:30pm Prelims awards ceremony

5:15pm Watch other bands perform/Eat at the concession stand (Bring $$) Leave for warm up at

designated time.

7:00pm-Finals start- Finals end at 9:45pm. We will find out our finals performance time at prelims

awards. If we do not make finals, we will return to LHS at 5:00pm and students will need a ride.

10:30pm Awards Ceremony/Full Retreat

11:15pm Depart Buford HS (Parents can take students home with prior approval)

11:30pm Arrive at LHS for parent pick up. Please make sure rides are on time. Students will text when

we depart BHS.

We are the first band to perform, which means there is a long block of time between our Prelims

performance and the awards ceremony. Parents are welcome to take students off campus between the Prelims Performance and Prelims Awards if you email Mr. Tingle by Friday 10/25/24 and check in with a chaperone before leaving the stadium. Students that go off campus will need to be back in the stands at Buford at 4:00pm to prepare for the awards ceremony.

While watching other bands, do not talk or walk around the stands. Students and spectators should only move to go to the concession stand in between band performances. Parents can pick up their student to take them home from BHS if they email Mr. Tingle in advance and let the bus chaperone know. All students must ride the bus to exhibition and competitions.

Senior Week!

We will celebrate our Seniors the week of October 14th!

Tuesday, October 15th, there will be a small snack reception to honor the seniors. Freshman will bring something sweet, Sophomores will bring something savory, Juniors will bring drinks. Everyone in the band will enjoy a snack together following practice to celebrate our Seniors! Reception is for students only. Parents plan to pick up students 20-30 minutes later that day so they can all enjoy a snack.

Wednesday, October 16th, the Senior poster is due. Parents make the posters, include a lot of photos of your band kid! We will hang them under the trophy shelves, where they will remain for the remainder of the year. Posters need to be LANDSCAPE only, and measure no more than 19”x14” so they can fit in the designated area.

Senior Night is on Friday, October 18th, during the home game. Senior parents, please plan to attend the ceremony preceding inspection, around 6:00 pm. Students will receive a cape, armband, and pin. During halftime, parents will walk down to the stadium with their student and have their picture taken with Mr. Tingle.

Adult Prom!

Please join us for "Under the Sea" Adult Prom benefitting Lanier Band

Date: Dec 7, 2024

Time: 6:30 PM

Location: Luxe Ballroom - 1328 Buford Highway, Ste 107, Buford, GA 30518

Tickets include a delicious dinner with a house salad with Georgia pecans, feta, and blueberries, Prestige farm grilled chicken or grilled steak tenderloin with a red wine shallot demi glaze, parmesan whipped potatoes, and fall vegetables. Dessert is butter toffee cake and vanilla bean creme brulee. 

Cash bar with signature drinks will be available. Must be 21+ to enter. 

We will have a silent auction, prom awards, and adult superlatives. 

The event is open to the public, but you must have a ticket to enter.

Early Bird Special - purchase your tickets before November 1, 2024 for the reduced price of $45 per person. Prices will raise to $50 per person after November 1, 2024. Ticket sales end on November 30 and tickets will not be sold at the door.

Wrapping paper fundraiser 30 day campaign results are in thank you for all who participated! This fundraiser has been continued until December 1st. You still have time to share with family and friends. September's wrapping paper all star is Asher Barnett  - see Geneva for your prize! October is a  new month, a new opportunity to sell more than just wrapping paper, but a holiday gift experience.

Sugar Rush Parade - October 20

We are marching in the Sugar Rush Parade! 

Students should report to the grassy area across from Sugar Hill City Hall at 11:15 AM on Sunday, October 20. Attire is show shirts, jeans, and marching shoes. Students will be dismissed around 12:45, after the parade.
