Congratulations Grand Champions!
After receiving all Superior ratings, first in the AAAA Class, first in the Gold Division, the Lanier Longhorn Marching Band was awarded the Grand Championship trophy for Saturday’s Lake Hartwell Band Competition! What an exciting performance! Congratulations to all our students!
And a big thank you to our directors, staff and parent volunteers! Your dedication to our students and the band program make all the difference! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Music For A Darkened Theatre: A Fall Concert - Featuring All Bands
The Lanier Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensembles are proud to present Music for a Darkened Theatre: A Fall Concert. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 28th at 6:30pm.
Ms. Foster, Mrs. Wilson-Fields, and Ms. Corbin are excited to bring a fun new tradition to the Ranch! Since it’s the week of Halloween and our concert theme is spooky, concert attire will be either a Halloween costume or nice all-black outfits.
We’ll be hosting costume contests for both musicians and audience members, with prizes up for grabs! Please ensure costumes are school-appropriate and won’t interfere with playing instruments or seeing the conductor. Feel free to invite your friends and family to join in the fun by dressing up too. It is going to be a fun night!
There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal for all three bands and percussion on Monday, October 27th. This rehearsal is for the band and percussion to play together prior to the concert performance. This dress rehearsal is a summative grade.
Concert Band (1st and 4th period) 2:30-3:30pm
Symphonic Band (2nd and 5th period) 3:30-4:30pm
Wind Ensemble (3rd period) 4:30-5:30pm
Senior Night, October 31st!
Senior Night is fast approaching. There will be a lot of activities going on during the afternoon and evening of Friday, October 31st as we honor our Seniors and all they have given to the Lanier Longhorn Band! In order to make this night a fun and exciting celebration for our Seniors, we need your help!
We ask that our 9th, 10th and 11th grade families volunteer for all the open slots for the pre-game and game day opportunities. Thus allowing our Seniors’ family members to celebrate their Senior! They’ve earned the right to just sit back and enjoy the evening! Volunteer slots will go live in BoosterHub the Sunday night of game week.
If you have not already done so, please visit the Dessert Bar Sign Up Genius to sign up for your student’s grade level treat to bring on October 31st to help celebrate! Let’s show our Seniors how much we love them!
During halftime, we will hold a Senior Recognition Ceremony. We have 40 Seniors to celebrate this year! It will be an amazing evening! Then immediately following the end of the football game, the Lanier Longhorn Marching Band will perform our award winning 2025 show “Shine” for everyone to enjoy!
