Reminder; drop off and pick up is always in the upper parking lot.  There are many different activities that occur throughout the year, and the school entrance should remain clear to keep the students safe.

Winter Guard SAPA Competition @ Chattahoochee High School!

Come out and show your support for our Winter Guard as they compete in the SAPA Competition at Chattahoochee High School on January 31st!  Lanier Winter Guard will be competing in the SNA - Scholastic National A group.   View the competition times and purchase tickets online at SAPA Online Events. 

Nashville Trip Forms!

Students going on the Nashville trip, please notarize and turn in your paperwork by Thursday, Feb. 5.

LGPE Details!

Below is the schedule for the LHS Band’s three Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) performances. 

• March 11th Wind Ensemble warmup at 3:10 PM, stage 3:55 PM, SR 4:40 PM @ Gas South Arena
• March 11th Symphonic band, warmup 1:00 PM, stage 1:40 PM, SR 2:20 PM @ Gas South Arena 
• March 18th Concert Band warmup at 8:30 PM, perform at 9:00 PM, SR 9:30 PM @ Grayson High School

Lanier High School Marching band is already planning ahead for the 2026 season!  Be sure to mark your calendars with these Spring Dates:

• 2026 Leadership Dates:
• March 27th - Leadership Applications Due
• March 30th & 31st - Leadership Interviews
• April 1st - Drum Major Auditions

• Spring Training and 2026 Registration:
• April 18th - Spring Training 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Required for all returning 2026 Lanier Marching Band students
• April 18th - Parent Meeting & Cookout 1:00 - 2:00 PM
• April 20th - 2026 Marching Band Registration Opens - $50.00 deposit due to secure your spot for next year’s show.
• May 1st - 2026 Marching Band Registration Ends
• May 11th - Full Marching Band Student Meeting; 5:00 - 7:00 PM @ Lanier High School

• Percussion Audition Dates:
• April 13th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• April 20th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• April 29th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• May 5th - Group Auditions; Times TBD
• May 6th - Individual Auditions; Times TBD

• Guard Audition Dates:
• April 21st - Students 9th - 11th Grade who are interested in Color Guard 2:30 - 4:30 PM
• April 23rd & 24th - Interested Middle Students only, 4:00 - 6:00 PM @ Lanier Middle School
• April 25th - ALL students 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; followed by Parent Meeting @ 12:00 PM @ Lanier High School

2026 Band Camp Dates and Times!

2026 Longhorn Marching Band Camp Dates have been announced.  Please mark these dates on your calendar. These are required dates for the 2026 Longhorn Marching Band (winds, guard, percussion). 

Week 1 July 13-17  

Week 2 July 20-24 

Times for each camp day: 

• July 13-15 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
• July 16-17 9:00 AM-9:00 PM
• July 20-21 9:00 AM-9:00 PM
• July 22 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
• July 23 9:00 AM-9:00 PM
• July 24 2:00 PM-6:00 PM,  Performance at 6:00 PM

Chocolate Fundraiser Ongoing!

We are currently selling the World’s Finest Chocolate to help support outstanding student dues!  Students are being encouraged to sell chocolate with a portion of sales going directly toward any unpaid band dues until they reach zero.  This fundraiser is required for anyone with outstanding dues. The last day to take a box is March 19th!
